GHOSTFACE KILLAH — SUPREME CLIENTELE 2

Rating: 3.5 Mics

I’ve always loved Ghostface Killah as an MC, and on Supreme Clientele 2, the things that make Ghost special are still there. His energy, charisma, style, flow and rhyme delivery are on point. He still has that personality where you immediately know who you’re listening to.

The production is a little different. I wouldn’t call it bad at all, but it doesn’t always stand out as the strongest part of the album. For me, Ghostface himself is what really drives the project.

There are eight tracks that stand out to me because these are the records I actually go back and listen to on repeat: “Curtis May,” “Georgy Porgy,” “You Ma Friend,” “Rap Kingpin,” “Metaphysics,” “The Zoom,” “Love Me Anymore” and “The Trial.”

That replay value matters. Even if every record doesn’t hit me the same way, having eight songs that I repeatedly come back to tells me there’s plenty of quality on the album.

Overall, Supreme Clientele 2 is a pretty dope Ghostface album. His personality as an MC remains the biggest strength. I wouldn’t put it on the level of his greatest work, but Ghost still shows why his style has lasted this long.

Final Rating: 3.5 Mics out of 5.

It was a great buy as i took it to Wally's at Hampton Beach in Hampton where Ghostface on was headlining on May 15th and he signed it along with many others that were there.
